POST 3: Exploring archetypes in your own life, family, and community.
An Archetype can be defined as a recurrent symbol or motif. This could also be seen as the perfect model for something, for instance if we see a girl with Long hair, a sparkly big ball gown , a fairy god mother and a tiara we can immediately infer that she is the archetype of a fairy tale princess. An Archetype is almost always truthful and tell us things that are relate able to us as Human beings. They are not always factual but there is a moral behind it, a lesson to be learned. The most common type of Archetype in today's society is the Hero. we see this archetype more often in our movies, daily lives, books, news outlets etc The Hero is also known as: The warrior, crusader, rescuer, superhero, the soldier, dragon slayer, the winner and the team player.
I believe that we are born into archetypes and we’re born in and out of love. Love is not just all you need. It’s all there is.Being in love is the ultimate archetype and i fall within this archetype. We are born into it and knowing it and then we live a lifetime trying to find it, keep it, sing songs about it,watch movies about it, enjoy it, praise it, explain it, and most of all feel it deeply for ourselves. I have a family who i love unconditionally and a boyfriend who i love too. And for all, loving and being loved can give strength, guts and a new energy. The world looks bright and clear.
My parents have always been my biggest support system, providing me with all i need. My mom especially has been my number one supporter. Based on the diversity of today's current definition of what a family really is, some people might not have experienced this archetype. however, regardless of what mothering you experienced in childhood, a mother brings warmth and nurturance to encourage you on your way. A Mother archetype draws out the best in you and helps you to succeed. She teaches, guides, explains and gives you unconditional love. She provides the intimacy that exists between a mother and her child In every situation, she provides the healing unguent of wisdom and unconditional love that soothes all. The Mother Archetype is one that exist within my family and can be seen in other families too.
